But, where is Worthy?! I know he survived when we thought he was gone, but where is he now? And I'm also relieved to finish this series, not that I didn't like it, I loved it, but because it is a pretty long series.
I wanted Rollan, Meilin, Abeke, and Conor to have those legendary This is kind of hard for me, finishing the last book in this wonderful series.
But it is very awesome and cool that they created there own. I think there should be a spinoff of this series. In the spinoff series, it could be set maybe years after this book.

Thanks for reading my review! View 2 comments. Jun 25, Meera rated it really liked it Shelves: series-i-have-finished.
Oct 12, Kimberlee rated it liked it Shelves: juvenile-fiction. I enjoy the four main characters a lot, but this book sort of spiraled into a cartoon finish that was incredibly open ended.
I would have actually liked to see where the characters ended up a couple of years down the road, but we're left with them looking off into the unknown once again with the world in chaos all around them.
I still enjoyed the read and I'm happy to see that this series followed through with the arc. I wish the side characters and the main characters had been handled better, but I still recommend this series all the time.
The final book didn't do the series any justice. Jan 22, Audri Henson rated it liked it. This was a really interesting book to read because it follows four adventurers who are all "bonded" to mythical creatures with special powers.
Their "bonds" create a special relationship with their animals so the children are able to summon the animals at will, even if the animals are in a different room or place.
My favorite part of the book is at the very end when the children find out that one of them has been a spy and traitor the whole time.
There's a lot of dramatic irony in the book This was a really interesting book to read because it follows four adventurers who are all "bonded" to mythical creatures with special powers.
There's a lot of dramatic irony in the book because at certain points the author actually hints that one of them is a traitor, but the characters don't know that.
The dynamic between the characters after they find out one of them is a spy is also very interesting to read about, because they start turning on another and can't trust anyone.
I would definitely recommend this book to any animal lovers or people who enjoy reading fantasy adventure novels.

I can't believe it's over or at least seems to be. The stories were wrapped up nicely for the most part but the overall series suffers from continuety errors most likely as a result of multiple authors.
Overall this is not a huge issue but it is obvious that the authors didn't totally communicate with one another. The four main Wow what a whirlwind that this series was.
The four main characters were the most consistent and that can be appreciated because they were handled very well. I suggest this to anyone of any age.
Sep 04, Catherine rated it liked it. I am glad that the series finally wrapped up, but I also felt like we could've been given a little more at the end.
What are the 4 kids going to do now? We never really knew how much time lapsed during all of their adventures, either. I always wondered how old they were through all of this.
They couldn't still be eleven years old. I just thought that after all of these books, we should have been told more about what the Greencloaks were going to do next.
Maybe I missed some of that during my I am glad that the series finally wrapped up, but I also felt like we could've been given a little more at the end.
Maybe I missed some of that during my reading. I wish you luck. What could you hold that emits such an aura? I should have known - a piece of the black dragon brood mother, Onyxia.
How revolting The quest objectives state "you only know that such beings exist". The real situation is only a little less dire.
This quest actually provides you the answer you need. Which is, talk to Haleh , in Winterspring. South and west of Everlook in Winterspring lies the caves of Mazthoril.
Enter the cave, and continue to the chamber at the bottom. Blue runes can be found on the floor of the chamber. I figured out all the little questions asked when presented with a problem.
I wanted to help save the dragons and stop Ignatius Crook! This book, although slightly predictable is still fun for young dragon apprentices.
I enjoyed it and can't wait to see if they tie up the loose ends in Volume 2. With a fun cast of characters and suspense, Steer really presented an adventure of Dragon-sized proportions European like Scorcher, not Knucker like Weasel.
Jun 08, Alan Reinoso rated it really liked it. I like reading books about fantasy and that why this book is really good for me.
In this book Daniel and Beatrice are sent to live with Dr. Ernest Drake a friend of the family. At first they find him odd and soon discover that he was hiding a dragon.
Drake begins teaching them not only about dragons but about all the subjects that must be studied to develop a full knowledge of dragon lore.
Alicia and Billy two other kids join them and become friends while learning. Soon later a Man who feels I like reading books about fantasy and that why this book is really good for me.
Soon later a Man who feels he is the true Dragon Master is bent on finding the magical jewel known as the Dragon's Eye.
Daniel and his sister learn many things suck as how to fly a feel dragon. They are trying to recover Dr. Drakes dragon dairy.
I really enjoyed reading this book but wouldn't suggest it to many friend because i believe this book was intended for a younger audience but i loved it any way.
This book add a certain realistic flavor to it by adding Dr. Drakes dairy. I also liked the fantasy such as the magical jewel the dragon's eye and how Daniel and his sister learned how to fly on a dragon.
I feel the storyline lacked a bit though because to me it seemed to jump from place to place but it is not that noticeable. Over all a great book for the summer.
I'm giving it a 4. I have always consider a wyvern to be as dangerous as a velociraptor, so to see a wyvern being leashed and walked around was not amusing.
I did enjoy the dragon football and am well aware that this is a children's book, I personally don't like to see dragons being leashed and walked like a pet.
But then I guess it was necessary at that part of the story. On the story in general, it is great! It makes me very much want to swear the binding oath of a Dragonologist and join the S.
The Russian dragonologist, Alexandra Goryntchka makes a great villain, and her part is written very well with the element of mystery.
For readers who like dragons, The Dragon's Eye is a very interesting read. You can even read this to your children or younger relatives.
I know i would! Oct 02, C. Bonham rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed this book immensely but then I enjoy most things that are set in Victorian England.
Daniel and Beatrice haven't seen their parents in four years and now it looks like they'll have to wait another year, when they are suddenly sent to stay with their parent's eccentric friend Dr.
Drake owns a dragon themed shop in London, more importantly he owns a dragon. Summer break isn't looking so boring now.
Anyone who has read the popular Dragonology book will want to read this as the I enjoyed this book immensely but then I enjoy most things that are set in Victorian England.
Anyone who has read the popular Dragonology book will want to read this as the great dragonologist Dr.
Drake comes to life and shows these two unsuspecting children that Dragons are hiding everywhere.
May 19, Destiny Arix rated it it was amazing. It's about Daniel and his sister Beatrice Cook. Their parents could not come get them for the summer, so they had to stay with Dr.
He loved to study dragons. So he opened a summer school and that is where Daniel and Beatrice had to stay.
Daniel and Beatrice got attached to the dragons and Dr. Drake, but it kind of leaves you on cliffhanger. My favorite character is Beatrice. She can stands up for herself because a group of boys tried to take her hat, but she fought back.
I recommend to people who love fantasy. This book held on to me, I could not stop turning the page. This book was actually pretty interesting.
This way, you can get a real feel of what it is like when reading the book. If you're wishing to become a true Dragonologist, this is a book for you to feel the unknown adventures out there!
Dec 07, Denae Christine rated it liked it Shelves: dragons , fantasy-historical. This would've gotten four stars had it not put such a darn emphasis on evolution.
Someone smart enough to find and research dragons would know that macro-evolution isn't real. Drake would never have his students reading Darwin for study.
Other than that, I liked the story. Jul 30, Axel Ihre rated it it was amazing. I have not read the book but I so want to do it. I also want to read the other books.
Nov 01, Clara Kennedy added it. A fascinating story that I could not stop reading with a question in the end that made me really want to read the next book.
Mar 05, Lyra rated it really liked it Shelves: dragons. Pretty good, love his ology books. Sep 17, Agen Schmitz rated it it was amazing.
The Boy is looking forward to the next three books. Jan 03, Debra Clewer rated it really liked it. I discovered this novel in the Junior Fiction section at my local library, although a description I read on-line classed it as a Young Adult book.
It was written in , but set in the 's in London. It is based on the supposed writing of a fictional Dragonologist, Dr Ernest Drake. Unknown to them, their parents are also Dragonologists and are overseas.
The children are sent to stay with Doctor Drake. At first they don't I discovered this novel in the Junior Fiction section at my local library, although a description I read on-line classed it as a Young Adult book.
At first they don't understand why they have been sent to stay with him but it becomes clear later on. They are there to learn about dragons as real, living creatures-not legends or fantasy.
However, this is fiction and the fantasy aspect brought fun and life to the novel. It has gentle moments along with action and adventure, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
I have always been fascinated with dragons myself since I was a child, and first heard the song Puff the Magic Dragon. The Dragon's Eye contains a red dragon fighting a mean one who happens to be Welsh , but the dragons manage to overcome the scenario with assistance.
Strangely enough, my own Junior Fiction novels one self-published, one awaiting editing , contain a Welsh red Dragon and a mean green one-and I wrote my stories long before I read this.
Do our heroes find the Dragon's Eye? And just what is the Dragon's Eye? Well, you'll have to read the book and find out! Oct 30, Jalea rated it it was amazing.
The Dragons Eye, by Dugald A. Steer, First, two children, Daniel and Beatrice are left with their uncle, Dr.
Drake, because their parents were in India. After a while, Daniel decides to disobey Dr. Drake and go down stairs in his shop.
He hears a loud noise and looks through the keyhole and he thinks sees a dragon! Drake catches him and tells him not to tell anyone what was in there.
Drake takes them to his home which is a castle. At the castle they see very strange things. Will they find out what is behind the door?
Will they find out what they are truly seeing? Find out in this book. One thing i did not like about the book was that Daniel got mad for no reason, he got mad just because Dr.
Drake left. I did like that the book gave beautiful drawings in it. I Ioved drawing them! I loved this book and if you read it I bet you will like it too!
Jul 17, Jasmine Burton rated it really liked it. I found The Dragons eye to be an entertaining and captivating read.
This fantasy book is filled with suspense and action, which I enjoy. I thought the plot was engaging and easy to follow. The characters were well written and had unique personalities - they were not unrealistic and perfect at everything.
I liked the variety of dragons included in the book, as it added interest and helped us to learn about dragons alongside Daniel and Beatrice.
Being an older reader I did find parts of the story a bit predictable, however for the intended audience of tweens I think the story still has the element of surprise.
Overall I would recommend this book to readers of all ages, as it has a unique plot and takes you on a thrilling journey. Aug 07, Kelly rated it really liked it.
This was a cute book. A few months ago, my mom found a box of games that we think were from my grandfather.
One of the games was Dragonology. It is a fun board game for all ages, but I think particularly kids in the ish range.
When I saw this book at the store, I knew I had to buy it. The book is just as cute as the game. I love Daniel and Beatrices characters.
Especially how Beatrice makes a point to prove that girls are just as smart as boys. The plot was a fun, easy read.
I think it would This was a cute book. I think it would be a great book to read with children to let them fall in love with fantasy.
